Ceiling cassette air conditioners

A cassette sits flush in the ceiling and spreads air in up to four directions (or a full circle on 360° models), so it cools large rooms evenly without taking up wall space. Cassettes are a common choice for offices, shops, restaurants and open-plan homes with a ceiling void.

Mini cassettes fit a standard 600 × 600 mm ceiling tile and suit rooms up to roughly 50 m². Full-size cassettes from 24 000 to 60 000 BTU cool boardrooms, showrooms and retail floors. Larger units are often three-phase, so check your supply before ordering.

Do I need a ceiling void for a cassette?

Yes. The indoor unit needs space above the ceiling for the body, drain pump and piping, usually between about 200 and 300 mm depending on the model. Tell us your ceiling type when you send your quote list.

What size cassette do I need for an office?

Offices generate extra heat from people and equipment, so allow about 10–15% more capacity than for a home. As a guide, 18 000 BTU suits an office of around 30 m² and 36 000 BTU around 60 m². We confirm sizing when we quote.
