What affects the price of an aircon?
- Size. Bigger units cost more. Buy the size your room needs — an oversized unit costs more upfront without cooling better. See the size guide.
- Inverter or fixed speed. Inverter aircons cost a little more to buy but usually use noticeably less electricity in rooms you cool every day.
- Type. Midwall splits are the most affordable. Cassettes, underceiling and ducted units cost more and need more installation work.
- Brand and features. Wi-Fi control, air purification, quieter fans, efficiency ratings and warranty all affect the price.
- Shipping and installation. These are not in the prices above. We quote them once you send your quote list, based on your suburb and the installation work.
