Underceiling air conditioners

Underceiling units mount on the ceiling (or floor-standing against a wall) and throw air a long way across the room. They need no ceiling void, which makes them ideal for boardrooms, restaurants, churches, showrooms and halls with concrete or high ceilings.

When should I choose an underceiling unit instead of a cassette?

Choose underceiling when the ceiling is concrete, very high or has no space above it, or when you need the air to reach far across a long room. Choose a cassette when you want the unit flush with a suspended ceiling.

Are underceiling aircons single-phase or three-phase?

Smaller units are single-phase. From about 38 000 BTU many models come in single-phase and three-phase versions, and the product name shows the phase where it matters. Check your electrical supply before you order.
